The chorale melody known as the Crusaders' Hymn is included in many of today's hymnals with the text, Fairest Lord Jesus. The march was composed in a quasi medieval style with open harmonies and the use of "Turkish" percussion instruments (tambourine, triangle and cymbals), instruments that the crusaders brought back with them to Europe. The EDU-PAK teaches canon, round, slurs, ties and phrasing.
